Imagine feeling very mixed-up-with Islam on one side and the Lord Jesus on the other. You want to know the truth, but you don't know exactly what that is. You are afraid that if you follow Jesus, your wife and children will be angry with you. That is where Mehmet, a 42-year-old father of five, found himself. And after talking a number of times to our co-workers in Turkey, where we proclaim the Gospel through media, he ultimately came to a saving knowledge of Christ! That is what life and eternity are all about and what you make possible when you support AMG.
I can't think of a better way to thank you for helping us reach people like Mehmet with the Good News than to share the Paul's words to his faithful friends at Philippi: "I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the Gospel from the first day until now" (Phil. 1:3-5). You are truly "participants in the Gospel" through your prayers and support of AMG. In all sincerity, we cannot do what He has called us to do without you, and we cannot thank you enough for your obedience to Him in the grace of giving. Thank you!
Looking back over the decades, the Lord's hand is so clear in AMG's story. There is no way that our founders could have foreseen the ways God would grow and stretch the ministry, but they trusted Him through each opportunity, committed to making disciples to make His name great. Faithful supporters like you who gave in faith to the vision of AMG have given shape to the ministries of AMG, taking us places we could never have otherwise gone.
These faithful gifts to AMG's Worldwide Ministries Fund (WWM)-gifts sent for use where needed most-have been the backbone of our ability to develop and expand ministry as the Lord leads. For many of you, your regular support of AMG is directed to specific individuals (children, national workers, or missionaries) or areas of ministry (leprosy, medical care, media evangelism, etc.), and you may not have considered the power and need of an open-ended gift. Your support in this area could just be your most strategic gift, blessing the people and ministries that you care about in many ways.
A healthy WWM fund gives AMG the flexibility and the opportunity to respond to ministry opportunities as the Lord leads. Your support paves the way for AMG to continue ministries that are underfunded, yet so effective and needed in reaching the lost, such as media evangelism, national worker and medical outreaches. Your giving to the WWM fund provides infrastructure to make our larger mission possible.
That can make a difference in so many ways. Ongoing outreaches funded through the WWM include: Gospel radio broadcasts in Muslim-majority Indonesia, reaching tens of thousands with the good news of Christ; basic training and materials to a national pastor in Uganda; supporting a student in Bible school for one month, preparing them for a lifetime of service to God; supporting doctors and nurses at AMG clinics in Haiti and elsewhere.
Faithful ministry partners like you who know and trust AMG are our most precious resource, and there is one more way that you help us advance the Gospel. Even in a world filled with noise and distractions where it is harder to draw people's attention to the desperate need that exists around the world for more than four billion lost souls to hear about Jesus, you give us a worldwide network of voices to get their attention.
Will you commit with us this year to tell at least one friend, family member, or co-worker about AMG and encourage them to partner with us as well? And for many of you who knew Dr. Spiros Zodhiates, you will be building on his legacy of tirelessly communicated what God is doing through AMG at every opportunity he had. If each of us takes that simple challenge, this time next year there could be twice as many supporters for this ministry! Think of the Gospel impact that would make!
Thank you once again for your faithfulness-with your continued support we rejoice together in the Lord's blessing around the world!
